We are proud to announce that our DNA High Performance "Stage 3 MK3 Air Box Kit" for the KTM 990 Series motorcycles has been awarded with the prestigious Red Dot Product Design Award 2012.

The Red Dot design award dates back to 1955 and is now one of the world's largest and most distinguished design competitions. The "Red Dot award: product design" is a world-class award presented to products released over the past two years that exhibit superiority in terms of a total of nine aspects, including innovation, functionality, ergonomics, ecology, durability and design. DNA High Performance Filters with its innovative and environmentally friendly design has proven that can compete with the best in the industry and convince an international and independent top-class jury. We were able to prevail over extremely ambitious competitors in one of the most renowned design contests in the world.

This year, 1,800 manufacturers and designers from 58 countries were hunting for the acknowledged Red Dot – the quality seal for aesthetic forms and lasting trends.4,515 products had to be assessed by the jury composed of 30 international experts. As always, they tested and evaluated live and on-site in Essen, Germany. Due to the consistently high quality of the products submitted, it was not easy for the renowned experts to make their decision.In the end, only the best of the top-class field of participants could prevail, DNA Filters was among them.

Since 1955, when the Red Dot design competition started, it's the very first time that a "Performance Air Filter Company" has been awarded with a "Red Dot Product Design Award" for an Air Filter product!

Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of the Red Dot design award, pointed to the high quality level of the competition: "The most distinguished products of the respective branch of industry faced up not only to the tough competition this year again, but also to the critical eye of the jury. The experts thoroughly examined, tested and evaluated each individual entry applying the highest standards. With their performances, the laureates did not only demonstrate an extraordinary design quality but they also showed that design is an integral part of innovative product solutions. At this high level, the winners are able to increase their potential for success on the market considerably by purposefully using our design prize.

The DNA "Stage 3 MK3 Air Box Kit" will be included in the Red Dot Design Year book 2012-2013, presented at the Red Dot Design Museum in Germany, at the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore and will be listed in the Red Dot Online exhibition, for one year from the day of the award ceremony. The award ceremony took place at the Aalto-Theater, Essen 2nd of July 2012 and the celebration continued the same evening at the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany.
